i write science fiction that challenges my readers.  i want to engage you and draw you in.  my great hope is that the characters i create and the plot twists that i devise will delight you; but the themes and ideas i present will make you think a little differently about the world around you.  there is philosophy in good science fiction; and it is so we can explore important questions about who we are and where we are going that i submit my efforts.   i write to engage you in a conversation about something that you did not think of before.  to suggest something new and interesting.  to make you stop reading, put down the book, look around and see something that was not there before.
